Design Services

Product Sourcing 

We work with retailers who seek to preserve and promote the rich craft traditions of Oaxaca. We curate and match clients with artisan partners based on their design inspiration and production requirements. We coordinate overall logistics and oversee all aspects of the sourcing process, including ethical purchasing and manufacturing, presentation, production, quality control, shipping, and delivery.

Commissioned Products

Our expert knowledge of local craft techniques, materials, and their contemporary uses helps bridge the gap between tradition and innovation. We offer full-service product design and development, including creative consulting, project management, and coordination of all aspects of the custom design and manufacturing process including research, artisan partnership development, on-the-ground design direction, ethical purchasing and manufacturing, production, quality control, shipping, and delivery.

In addition to providing economic opportunities for artisan communities, we reinvest 10% of profits from our design studio into community development programs that are self-determined by our artisan partners and carried out by our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization The Cosa Buena Foundation.
